What score do you need?
Many Express Entry French pathways ask for NCLC 7 (the French version of CLB 7) in all four skills. Higher levels earn more points. These are the minimum scores for NCLC 7.
| Skill | TEF Canada | TCF Canada |
|---|---|---|
| Listening | 249 / 360 | 458 |
| Reading | 207 / 300 | 453 |
| Writing | 310 / 450 | 10 / 20 |
| Speaking | 310 / 450 | 10 / 20 |
Your level is set by your lowest skill. For TEF Canada, IRCC uses the “Équivalence ancien score” column of your result sheet, not the score out of 699. Results are generally valid for two years. Always confirm the latest tables on the IRCC website.
